“Wise men speak because they have something to say;Fools because they have to say something”-Plato
It beats my imagination each time some folks cry for my partisanship. They’re like:”You are no longer an activist”,”you are betraying the struggle”,”you should dwell in human rights struggle where you have cut your teeth”,”see how you are loosing respect because of this Amaechi/APC support that has consumed you”,”you are applying your brain in a wrong field, concentrate on legal practice you will do well there, leave politics”,”you are to lead Amaechi and not him leading you”,and so go the inanities.See me see trouble kwanu.
If you ask me,they are not saying it out of love, rather jealousy-because they all know fully too well that politics is the earliest route to upward social mobility. The annoying aspect of it is that their arguments are all bereft of content.None has been able to front a persuasive engagement why I should quit partisanship.Quit it for who nau?In case they’re oblivious of this immutable truism of Plato, let me therefore draw attention to it:
“One of the penalties of refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors”.
Do you understand?? WE SHOULD RATHER BE IN POLITICS TO TRANSLATE OUR POLEMICS INTO PRAXIS!
I understand that you can not walk into political arena without attracting mud to yourself, however objective your opinion may be,hence, the hackneyed phrase:”Politics is a dirty game”.You can see the vitriolic expressions on Prof.Itse Sagay,SAN,Prof.Wole Soyinka,Comrade Femi Falana,SAN,et al,all because of their well considered objective engagements for the Buhari administration.Because PMB is discharging the responsibility of his office creditably.
Well,those against my partisanship,I have one word for them.PITY!And so,Satan,get thee behind me,thou art a loser,ab initio!!!231
